So in my post below I mentioned having a Greek Frappe Coffee. never heard of it?

I discovered it on a trip back in 2001 when I took a cruise in the Greek isles. First sip and I was hooked. I still make it time to time. And its so easy to make but I never get the foam right like the Greeks do. Personally I only add milk once its shaken. Try it, great in the summer on a balcony:

frappeINGREDIENTS

  • 2 teaspoons instant coffee
  • 3/4 cup of cold water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar, optional
  • Milk, optional
  • 2 ice cubes

METHOD

Add into a shaker the coffee and the sugar and a little water (4-5 spoons). Shake until the coffee comes out of the shaker all thick and foamy. Strain the coffee into a tall glass and add the rest of the water, the ice cubes and milk. Greek Frappe coffee is drunk with a straw, which is also used to mix the coffee and sugar as it stands on the bottom of the glass.
