With A CULTURAL FEAST, Pointe-à-Callière will showcase the reality and plurality of Montrealers. This festive event highlights the culinary heritage, games, and music stemming from the cultural traditions of Montrealers of diverse backgrounds that make up the city’s urban landscape. The 2008 edition will pay particular attention to the presence of French citizens in Montréal in a special salute to France.

A CULTURAL FEAST takes place within a lively atmosphere in which visitors can stroll among some sixty different kiosks. Open to the general public, this event will focus on the celebrations, delicacies, and festive and culinary traditions of Montrealers of all origins. What music, dances, and songs are a part of their holiday celebrations? What are their favourite treats? What is their influence on the celebrating and eating habits of long-established groups in Montréal? And, for their part, how have they integrated the holidays we celebrate here? How are traditions shared among neighbours?

Its a free event but you may have to pay to sample food
