Wishing you a wonderful New Year! May 2015 bring you health, prosperity, amazing food and happiness! I feel so privileged to start of a new year of Food ‘n Flix as the host for this January. This month I’m challenging you to watch Bridget Jones’s Diary, and then head into the kitchen to make a dish inspired by the film.
At the start of the New Year, 32-year-old Bridget decides it’s time to take control of her life — and start keeping a diary. Now, the most provocative, erotic and hysterical book on her bedside table is the one she’s writing. With a taste for adventure, and an opinion on every subject – from exercise to men to food to sex and everything in between – she’s turning the page on a whole new life.
I think at one point in our lives we have all been able to relate to Bridget. This film was a huge success as most women could identify with her at least on some level (or many). It’s a great chick flick that everyone can enjoy, men too!
Anybody with a blog is welcome to participate so I hope many of you will decide to join me for this fun event. How can one refuse an invitation to dinner and a movie?

Happy New Year Evelyne and have a wonderful week ahead 🙂
Great choice! I have watched this movie years ago and though I cannot recollect scenes to create a dish inspired by them, I think it will be a great excuse to watch it again.
I love that movie! Happy New Year, Evelyne!
I simply loved this movie. And I loved the Christmas sweater party. Everyone had on those horrible sweaters lol. Such a cool post
One of my favorite movies, it’s so much fun.
Happy 2015 for you Evelyne!
Looking forward for new exciting posts from CEE.
Can’t wait to re-watch this. Read the book shortly after it was published (back when I could relate a bit more to Bridget). LOL Thanks for starting us off for 2015 with a bang!
I’m so happy that you picked this one, Evelyne – I watched it a few nights ago (the first time in its entirety in years) and loved it even more than I remember! Can’t wait to see what everybody comes up with. 🙂
I watched the film a few years ago and it was quite a fun one.
Happy New Year, Evelyne – hoping 2015 is filled with delicousness and happiness!
I’ve been waiting for this. I’m more of a Bridget in the kitchen then I wish I was.
I am very excited you chose this movie. Can you believe I have never seen it???
