Danish Girl Tries 12 Quebec snacks and a small blog break

Evelyne and Lingling are back with another snack tasting video. This time we tried 12 different Quebec snacks, which is in Canada by the way 😉

Just before I get into the Quebec snacks portion of the post, I wanted to mention I will be taking a 2 week break approximately from blogging. Someone in my immediate family is having a huge operation today. Let’s hope all goes well and I may be needed for help and support. So I am relieving myself of all personal commitments at this time.

Chinese Snacks, What a Weird Taste Testing Adventure

I love my friend so much I inflicted Chinese Torture on her! How? By making her taste a bunch of weird Chinese snacks on video! Have a laugh at our expense!

They say when in Rome do as the Romans! Well I was in China so I did as the Chinese when it came to tasting Chinese snacks. The Chinese’s idea of how snacks hit the taste buds is very different than the West. Some snacks were really tasty and fun. Others were just plain weird. Many we only found out what they were until we put it in our mouths.

This week I am serving up a recipe for laughter with a 4-part taste testing series.

Oliebollen is a Dutch doughnuts (or donut I never know) that is the quintessential Dutch treat for New Year’s Eve. Apparently over 80% of the Dutch population consumes oliebollen on between Dec 26th/Jan 06th. With this recipe I wish you my readers a very Tasty, Happy and Healthy New Year 2017!
