Do You Want to Discover China’s Finer Teas?

Toss those supermarket teas in the trash and discover the thrill of finer teas. A high quality sourced tea is so much more refined, pure and crisp. It will change how you look at tea forever.

One of my colleagues jokes that his mom kept a pot of orange pekoe tea boiled strong in those old Pyrex tea pots. She just added water and boiled away all day long. That is fine if you have zero care in the world for what tea should actually taste like. But let me tell you, once you have experienced several cups of finer teas the rest pales in comparison. An excellent tea is like enjoying a top vintage wine. Today I want to introduce you to five higher grade teas, all of which are harvested in China.

Mionetto Treviso Prosecco now in Quebec! Bonus Aperol Spritz Cocktail recipe

Mionetto Trevisois the lastest Prosecco to hit the Quebec market. Discover the refreshing dry bubbly, with subtle hints of honey, apples, liquorice and acacia blossom.

So this will age me. Do you remember that show with Robin Leech with the catch phrase, “champagne wishes and caviar dreams”? The show was called Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. I LOVED that show and wanted to sip on champagne every day. Champagne is still not really in the budget, so when a bubbly is called for I turn like most people to it’s little brother, Prosecco. Prosecco has grown in popularity in recent years and you can find some really excellent ones. Mionetto Treviso Prosecco is one of them.

A Healthy Chocolate Matcha Smoothie

Smoothies can be calorie traps. But my Chocolate Matcha Smoothie is not only heatlhy, it is also dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan. Enjoy this delicious smoothie guilt-free!

My life changed a little bit the day I got a smoothie blender. That first summer I had so many smoothies, you would not believe it! I tried every recipe I could find and added way too many ‘extras’ sometimes. With time I learned to keep my ingredient selection more basic and simple. A perfect example is this wonderful Chocolate Matcha Smoothie.

Chorizo in Red Wine Tapas

Spend less time in the kitchen and more time with your guest by hosting a Spanish tapas night, with quick recipes like this Chorizo in Red Wine recipe.

Tapas are a small portioned appetizers typically served in Spanish bars. There is a huge variety of tapas and many local specialties. When I was in Madrid (way too long ago) I did like the locals and enjoyed a full diner by traveling from bar to bar and trying various tapas with a little glass of wine. A really fun night! And in many cities around the world, Spanish restaurants flourish with this concept. The tapas meal is perfect to socialize and encourage conversation when with friends and family. Having a tapas night at home can be lots of fun too. One great tapas recipe to try is the one in today’s post, Chorizo in Red Wine.

A Meal out of Three Cookbooks

A great selection of three cookbooks with themes are used to build a wonderful 3-course meal.

The internet is an infinite source for recipes, no one can deny that, but sometimes sitting in your favorite chair and leafing through a cookbook can be really relaxing and gratifying. Cookbooks also have a great knack for gathering a whole bunch of recipes on a specific theme. Today I will give you a brief introduction to such three cookbooks I received recently: Spiralizer, Slow-cooker and Vegetarian Thai.
